What ages do you work with?

Do parents attend appointments?
Yes. Parents and caregivers are an important part of the treatment process and are encouraged to participate in appointments. Depending on your child’s age and comfort level, part of the appointment may also be spent individually with your child or teen.
Are appointments virtual or in person?
All appointments are conducted virtually for families located in Ohio.
Do you prescribe medication?
Yes. Medication may be recommended when appropriate as part of an individualized treatment plan. Treatment decisions are collaborative and based on your child’s unique needs, symptoms, and goals.
Do you provide therapy?
Armor Behavioral Health focuses on psychiatric evaluation and medication management. Supportive therapeutic interventions, parent guidance, and lifestyle-focused recommendations may be incorporated into care, and collaboration with your child’s therapist is encouraged when applicable.
Do you take insurance?

What should we expect during the first visit?
Initial evaluations typically last about 60 minutes and include discussion of current concerns, emotional and behavioral symptoms, medical and developmental history, school functioning, sleep, stressors, and previous treatment experiences.
The goal of the first appointment is to better understand your child’s needs and begin developing an individualized treatment plan.
Do you take a whole-child approach?
Yes. Mental health can be influenced by many factors, including sleep, nutrition, stress, routines, relationships, and physical health. These areas are considered as part of care when appropriate.
For some patients, care may also include discussion of lifestyle factors, nutritional support, or lab testing related to overall wellness and mental health symptoms.
How often are follow-up appointments?
Follow-up frequency varies depending on your child’s individual needs and treatment plan. Appointments are scheduled collaboratively and adjusted over time based on progress and symptom stability.
