Integrative Psychiatry

for growing minds and busy lives

Welcome! I’m Ashley Collins, PMHNP

I’m a psychiatric nurse practitioner focused on treating the whole person—not just their symptoms. I work with children, adolescents, and adults using an integrative approach that considers nutrition, lifestyle, coping skills, and medication when appropriate. I help children, adolescents, and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, and ADHD develop strong coping skills, improve lifestyle habits, and restore emotional balance — “arming” them with the tools and strength to face life's challenges head-on. I also work with busy professionals and parents who are seeking support for focus, stress management, burnout, and overall mental wellness.

If you’re seeking a trusted mental health partner who…

  • Truly listens and takes the time to understand your concerns

  • Provides treatment that addresses the root cause

  • Understands that medication is just one piece of the puzzle

…then you’re in the right place.

Are you worried your child may be struggling with anxiety, depression, or ADHD?
Or are you feeling overwhelmed, burned out, or unable to focus the way you once could? I can help.

I am currently accepting new patients for in-person and telehealth appointments in Ohio.

I believe that strong coping skills, good nutrition, and healthy routines are the foundation of lifelong mental wellness.

What are common symptoms in children and teens?

  • Anxiety Symptoms

Have you noticed that your child seems to worry more than other kids their age? They may often miss school or leave early due to frequent stomach aches. Perhaps they cry more easily or become frustrated and angry quicker than other children. Sleep may be another challenge—your child might have frequent nightmares or struggle to sleep alone.

I can help your child feel more at ease, manage their emotions, and build confidence in who they are as a brave, smart, and unique individual with the potential to achieve great things!

  • Depression Symptoms

Is your child struggling to see themselves in a positive light, often saying negative things about themselves? Perhaps you’ve noticed they seem sad or irritable most of the time, with low energy and difficulty waking up—requiring you to remind them multiple times before they finally get out of bed. They may withdraw from loved ones, choosing to stay in their room rather than engaging with family or friends. You might also find them constantly on their phone, immersed in social media or video games.

Now, imagine seeing your child return to their light-hearted, fun-loving self. I can help your child regain their self-confidence, motivation, and joy for life. Together, we will work on building effective routines, developing healthy coping skills, and making positive life choices.

  • ADHD Symptoms

Does this sound familiar? Your school-aged child struggles with taking turns, letting others speak, or keeping track of things. You notice your teenager feels restless, has difficulty focusing, and acts impulsively—perhaps experimenting with risky behaviors like drug use or stealing. They might procrastinate, leaving simple tasks undone for hours. You ask them to feed the dog, and two hours later, they're still in the garage where the dog food is stored.

You want your child to feel confident and capable, to develop strong organizational and time management skills, and to follow through on their responsibilities. I can help your child or teen succeed in school and in life.

Welcome! I’m Ashley Collins, PMHNP-BC

I am a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner specializing in holistic and integrative medicine. I earned my Master of Science in Nursing through The Ohio State University and have worked in many different psychiatric settings since graduation—including community mental health, and the inpatient setting. I have extensive experience treating children, adolescents, and adults with anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and co-occurring conditions. I also work with busy professionals and parents who are seeking support for focus, stress management, burnout, and overall mental wellness.

I believe true healing comes from treating the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. Having personally experienced anxiety as a child and as a mother to two wonderful girls, one of whom has struggled with anxiety, I deeply understand what you and your child are going through.

  • "Dr. Ashley Collins impressed me from the very beginning. She quickly got to know our daughter and her concerns and implemented a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach. My daughter had small assignments to complete each week and I think it reinforced the fact that her health is, in fact, within her control. Lessons that she will utilize her entire life have been introduced by Dr. Collins. As a parent, I could not be more grateful for Dr. Ashley!
